Cosplay | Snow White (Designer Doll)

If you've been following my instagram & stories , you'll know I've been working on the Snow White designer doll costume...when I first saw this costume when it was released, I knew I wanted to make it.This is definitely the most glamorous costume I've made, but I enjoyed the challenge! I want to get a longer wig and style it properly before wearing her again.COSTUME DETAILS:DRESS
The dress was made splicing 2 patterns together; Simplicity 1607 for the bodice and Simplicity 2442 for the skirt. I knew I wanted a train in the back, so I taped some paper to the back 2 panels of the skirt pattern to add about 18" of length at the very back, and tapered it up to reach the length of the original pattern.SLEEVES
The sleeves are flutter sleeves! Basically, you take an existing sleeve pattern and cut upwards towards the top. Then you fan out the strips and create a new, wider pattern by drawing around the old pattern.The red shapes were added using heat n' bond, and I stitched around them.TRAIN
I used the same pattern for the train as I did the dress, and used 3 panels of it (back and 2 sides) so it would flow on top of the dress. It's double-sided red satin and pressed at the sides. I used 10mm rhinestones up the sides and on the seams, and filled in with 5mm.WRAP
For the wrap, I used fur left over from by Belle costume for one side, and the cream satin for the other. It's a simple rectangle, and I added some of the 10mm rhinestones on the fur side for sparkle (which unfortunately you can't really see...).Do you collect Disney Designer Dolls? I didn't know much about them before seeing this Snow White doll, but now I'm really interested!
